# NextEvolution Project Status Update

Hello everyone!

I want to share the current status of the **NextEvolution** project and explain where we are right now.

NextEvolution is being developed as a full platform, not just a single client or server. The goal is to create a modern CS 1.6-style ecosystem with a custom client, server, website, future launcher/application, documentation, and later masterserver integration.

## Current Status

The project is now in a very advanced stage.

The core work on the **client and server** is mostly completed for the first Stable v1 direction. We are currently focused on final polishing, testing, cleanup, documentation, and preparing clean release packages.

## Client

The NextEvolution client already has many of the main systems working.

Current client progress includes:

* modern UI and settings system;
* improved scoreboard;
* avatar system;
* spray system;
* crosshair settings and previews;
* camera / feel / smoothness settings;
* cleaner console and diagnostics;
* new download UI;
* improved resource handling;
* Protocol100 direction;
* preparation for a clean Stable v1 release.

The client is not just a visual update. A lot of internal systems were changed and improved to support a more modern modding platform.

## Server

The server side is also being prepared for Stable v1.

The plan is to release a clean base server package with:

* Protocol100 server base;
* updated modules;
* clean AMXX / ReAPI / ReGameDLL / Metamod setup;
* clean default configuration;
* documentation for server owners;
* a base that can be used for future mods and custom servers.

The public clean server package will be separated from private mod systems. It will be a base platform for other server owners and modders.

## Website / Platform

The website is now active and will become the main public place for:

* project updates;
* news;
* screenshots and videos;
* documentation;
* future downloads;
* community posts;
* user profiles;
* chatbox and community features;
* information about the official Protocol100 server.

The website is still receiving small fixes and improvements, but the main direction is already working.

## Application / Launcher

The application/launcher will be the next major part after the website.

The launcher direction includes:

* easier installation;
* client updates;
* client/server downloads;
* news/update feed;
* future auto-update system;
* connection with the website/platform;
* later masterserver/server list integration.

This will make the platform easier to use for normal players and server owners.

## What Comes Next

The current focus is:

1. Finish website core fixes and polish.
2. Prepare clean client and server release folders.
3. Final test client/server stability.
4. Continue work on the application/launcher.
5. Prepare documentation.
6. Later connect masterserver/server list systems.

After Stable v1, updates will continue step by step. The focus will be stability first, then more advanced platform features.

## Release Direction

The plan is to finish the website/platform side first, then release the clean client and server together as **Stable v1**.

I do not want to give a fixed release date until the final tests are complete, but the project is now much closer to the first public release.

NextEvolution is not just another custom client or server. It is being built as a future platform for CS 1.6-style projects, server owners, modders, and community development.

Thank you to everyone who follows the project, supports it, gives feedback, and shows interest.

More screenshots, videos, and updates will be posted soon.
